Cubase’s iPhone app

January 24, 2009

One of the biggest surprises to have dropped during day 1 of NAMM 2009 was news of Steinberg’s remote control iPhone app for Cubase, called Cubase RC.

The app will run on an iPhone or iPod Touch and connects via Wi-Fi.

The app has two main screens, one for transport and one for arrangement view.

That means you can control playback, arm recording, metronome, cycle and markers in the Transport screen, and the Arranger view allows you to trigger sections of a track.

And best of all, Cubase RC will be free, arriving in the iPhone app store around May 2009.
